With the support of donor agencies, we are promoting livelihood activities for tribal communities in Sirsi, Siddapur, and Yellapur blocks of Uttara Kannada district. These initiatives are designed to create sustainable income opportunities for these communities. Additionally, we have trained over 1,680 individuals in the use of Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFP), enabling them to optimize the natural resources available to them. We have also supported 210 tribal families in starting poultry farming and assisted 75 families in adopting apiculture as an alternative livelihood activity.

Healthcare facilities

Tribal communities often face significant barriers in accessing formal healthcare services, major reasons are, lack of awareness and limited access to timely medical services. To address this issue, we have established tribal service points where our Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) provide essential medical care. Additionally, we organize general and specialized healthcare camps for the tribal community. Through our MMUs, we have successfully treated over 15,000 individuals, also approximately 1,000 people have benefited from our healthcare camps.
