SCODWES is the brainchild of visionary leader Dr. Venkatesh Naik. After completing his education, he worked in various sectors but found little fulfilment of aspirations in his roles. Driven by a desire to make a positive impact on society, he founded SCODWES in 2005 alongside like-minded development activists in Sirsi.
Initially, the organization faced challenges in mobilizing the necessary resources, building the network and sustaining the programs striving to contribute to the vision of serving the underserved communities. But with compassion and commitment Dr. Naik and his associates encountered numerous difficulties and developed a professional development institution called SCODWES.
Over the years, SCODWES expanded its thematic focus, team size, presence, and reach to scale its services. The institution now envisions reaching a minimum of 10 million people and providing employment opportunities for over 2000 individuals.
